Drop Ceiling Projector Mount Kit with Outlet Housing (Chief CMS445N)

The way to hang a simulator projector in a basement or finished room with a drop ceiling. This Chief kit replaces one ceiling tile and carries the load on cables tied to the structure above, so the grid and tile are not holding the projector. A built-in housing puts the power outlet right at the projector, above the tile.

What else you need

This kit is the ceiling support. Add a projector mount and a 1.5 in NPT column, such as our Chief mount with the 8 to 10 in extension column. Have a licensed electrician wire the outlet, and confirm the structure above can take the load.

Who it is for

Home sims with a suspended ceiling, where a standard ceiling plate has nothing solid to fasten to. If your ceiling is drywall or open joists, a standard mount is simpler and costs less.
