Why Retractable, and How It Works
Why we built a retractable golf simulator
We are Matt and Kade, a father and son company in Aledo, Texas. Before The Home Fairway existed we had a fixed enclosure in our own garage. It worked exactly as advertised, and it took the garage and never gave it back. We built this system because we wanted the golf without handing over the room, and because nobody was selling that at a price we thought was fair.
The problem we set out to solve: a room that has to do two jobs

This was our own setup before The Home Fairway. A fixed enclosure, up permanently.
Look at what it takes. The frame, the netting, and the hitting bay claim the floor and never give it back. The room has exactly one job now. That is the trade every permanent enclosure asks you to make, and for most people it is the reason a home simulator never happens. You do not have a spare room to surrender. You have a garage that still parks cars, a basement the family uses, a bonus room that has to pull double duty.
What we built instead

The same room, one press of the remote apart.
Full bay when you want it. A room again when you do not. No disassembly, no dragging panels into a closet, no square footage surrendered.
How our system works
1. Deploy. One press of the RF remote lowers the rear impact screen and both side screens into a full hitting bay. No cranking, no ladders, no lifting panels into place.
2. Play. Pair it with any launch monitor, projector, and simulator software you like. The rear screen is a true 3-ply impact screen built for real ball speed, and the two side screens keep stray shots contained.
3. Retract. Press again and the screens roll up into the ceiling. Your garage, basement, or bonus room is fully usable again in seconds.
What is included
Every Home Fairway size ships with a motorized rear 3-ply impact screen, two motorized 8 ft side screens, and an RF remote. The side screens are in the base price, not an upgrade you buy back later. The screens run to 11 ft high by default. The housings are compact: 7 in by 7 in for the main impact screen and 4 in by 4 in for each side screen. It runs on a standard 110V outlet.
Not included: ceiling panel, corner pieces, baffles, mounting brackets, and installation. We do not install, and we do not sell launch monitors, projectors, computers, mats, or turf. It ships ready to mount and most owners handle it themselves or with a handyman. The brackets are 3 in by 5 in and have to land on studs or joists, or on rated heavy-duty toggle bolts. Never drywall alone.
Why we price it the way we do
Full-kit retractable systems bundle in ceiling panels, baffles, brackets, and corner pieces, then charge a premium for parts most buyers do not need. We went after what actually matters: the motorized screens themselves, in premium materials, at an honest price. For context on the two systems we get asked about most, SportScreen charges roughly $1,000 extra to motorize, and G-TRAK includes no side screens at all. Ours are motorized and both side screens are in the base price.
Sizes and prices
Fairway 8 is $2,399, Fairway 10 is $2,649, Fairway 12 is $2,899, and Fairway 14 is $3,149. The Fairway 12 is our most popular size because it suits most two-car garages and bonus rooms. It measures 148 1/16 in outside bracket to outside bracket, and its side screens run 100 1/2 in out from the wall toward the golfer. We quote custom widths above 14 ft.
Shipping, lead time, and warranty
Freight is free to the lower 48 only. The Fairway 12 ships in 5 to 10 business days. Fairway 8, Fairway 10, Fairway 14, and Impact Padding are made to order on an 8 to 10 week lead time and are final sale, so be certain of your size before you order one of those. The warranty is 2 years on the screens only, running from the purchase date, and it is not transferable.
Should you get fixed or retractable?
Sometimes the answer is fixed, and we would rather tell you before you pay freight. If the room is dedicated to golf and nothing else, a fixed enclosure is simpler, cheaper at the entry level, and has nothing to fail. We wrote a neutral guide to that decision: should I get fixed or retractable. Read it before you buy from us.
