Space and sizing

How much space do I need for a Home Fairway System?

Less than most people expect. Width is the main factor, then ceiling height. The Fairway 12 fits most two-car garages and bonus rooms, and we make 8, 10, and 14 ft widths for everything from a single-car garage to a wide dedicated room. Send us your room width and ceiling height and we will confirm the right size for free, or start with the sizing guide.

Which size should I order?

Pick the size by your wall width first, then confirm ceiling height and swing clearance. The four standard widths are Fairway 8 at $2,399, Fairway 10 at $2,649, Fairway 12 at $2,899, and Fairway 14 at $3,149. Custom widths are quoted individually. If you are between two sizes, send us your measurements before ordering and we will tell you which one actually fits. This matters more than it used to, because every size except the Fairway 12 is final sale.

What are the exact dimensions of the Fairway 12?

The Fairway 12 measures 148 1/16 in outside bracket to outside bracket. The two side screens run 100 1/2 in from the wall, bracket to bracket. The main housing is 7 in by 7 in and each side housing is 4 in by 4 in. Screens run to 11 ft high by default. Measure your wall against those numbers before you order, not after.

How much ceiling height does a golf simulator need?

Ceiling height decides whether you can make a full swing, and it is the number people most often get wrong. The screens run to 11 ft high by default, so the ceiling is usually the limit, not the screen. Will this fit in a two-car garage?

A two-car garage is the most common install we see, and the Fairway 12 is usually the size that fits it. The retractable design is what makes a garage work, because the screens roll up and the cars come back in. Can I get a custom width?

Yes. If your room falls between the standard 8, 10, 12, and 14 ft widths, or you need something wider, we quote custom widths individually. Contact us with your wall width, ceiling height, and where the studs or joists run, and we will come back with a price and a lead time for that build. Call or text 817-458-8556.

How the retractable system works

How do the screens retract?

All three screens are motorized and roll up into their housings at the press of a button. There is no manual crank, no removing panels, and no unhooking fabric. The rear impact screen and both side screens each have their own motor, so the whole enclosure goes up or comes down without you touching the screen material.

How do I operate it?

One RF remote runs the system, and because it is RF rather than infrared, it works through walls. You do not need line of sight to the housings. That means you can drop the screens from inside the house before you walk out to the garage, or raise them from the next room when you are done for the night. The remote is included in the base price.

What is included and what is not

What exactly do I get for the price?

You get a complete motorized retractable golf screen set: the rear 3-ply impact screen, two motorized 8 ft side screens, and the RF remote that runs all three. How deep are the side screens?

The side screens are 8 ft deep each, and both are included in the base price. When you measure your space, plan on 100 1/2 in from the wall, bracket to bracket. The side screens are what turn a flat impact screen into an enclosure, catching the shots that would otherwise find your garage wall.

What is not included?

Not included: ceiling panel, corner pieces, baffles, mounting brackets, and installation, plus launch monitor, projector, computer, mat, and turf. That is deliberate. Most buyers already own a launch monitor or have strong opinions about which one they want, and bundling parts you do not need only raises the price. You buy the screens from us and the rest wherever you like.

Mounting and structure

What do the brackets mount to?

Brackets must land on studs or joists, or on rated heavy-duty toggle bolts. Never drywall alone. The brackets are 3 in by 5 in. This is the one part of the install where there is no room for improvising, because the housings, motors, and screens hang from those points and a drywall-only mount will eventually pull out. Damage from improper mounting is not covered under the warranty, so locate your framing before you order.

Are mounting brackets included?

No, brackets are not included. Mounting hardware depends on what you are mounting into, and framing, joist spacing, and finish materials vary too much from house to house for one bracket kit to be right. Brackets are 3 in by 5 in and must hit studs or joists, or rated heavy-duty toggle bolts. If you are unsure what your structure will take, call us before you order.

Do you install it?

Not at this time. The system ships ready to mount, and most owners handle it themselves or with a handyman. If you are not comfortable locating framing and hanging a motorized housing, budget for a couple of hours of a local handyman's time. We would rather tell you plainly that installation is on you than pretend it is a one-person job for everyone.

Power and electrical

What power does the system need?

The system runs on a standard 110V outlet. There is no special circuit, no 220V, and no hardwiring required. If there is a working outlet near where the housings will mount, you have what you need. Garages and bonus rooms usually already do, though the outlet may not be at ceiling height. If there is nothing in reach of the housings, that is a short electrician job, or you run a cord. Either way the system asks nothing unusual of your electrical.

Launch monitors and projectors

Which launch monitors work with this?

Any launch monitor works. The Home Fairway System is the screens, the motors, and the remote, so it does not care what you are hitting into it with. Overhead units, side units, radar, camera-based, phone-based, it makes no difference to a screen. Bring the launch monitor you already own or the one you have been researching.

Which projectors work?

Any projector works, for the same reason any launch monitor does. We do not lock you into a projector, a mount, or a software package. What we cannot do is spec your projector throw distance for you, because that depends on your room depth, your mounting position, and the projector you choose. Your projector manufacturer publishes a throw calculator, and that is the right source for it.

Do you sell launch monitors, projectors, mats, or turf?

No. We sell motorized retractable golf simulator screens and nothing else. We are not a general simulator shop, we do not carry hitting mats or turf, and we do not resell somebody else's launch monitor at a markup. Focusing on the screen system is why the two side screens and the remote are in the base price rather than in an upsell.

The impact screen, noise, and care

Will it handle real golf shots?

Yes. The rear screen is a 3-ply impact screen built for real ball speed, not a projection sheet. It is designed to take driver shots from a normal residential swing. The two 8 ft side screens catch the pulls and pushes that a bare impact screen would let through into your wall, your car, or your water heater.

How loud is it?

Hitting into any impact screen makes noise, and we are not going to claim ours is silent, because no honest screen company can. How do I keep the screen looking good?

Wipe your golf balls and your club faces. That is the whole maintenance routine, and it matters more than anything else you will do. Dirt on a golf ball is abrasive, and at impact speed it does not just mark the screen, it prints on it. A clean ball keeps the projection surface clean and the fibers intact for years longer.

Ordering and lead times

How long does it take to ship?

The Fairway 12 ships in 5 to 10 business days. The Fairway 8, Fairway 10, Fairway 14, and the Impact Padding are made to order and ship in 8 to 10 weeks. Your order confirmation lists the lead time for exactly what you ordered. Full detail is on the shipping page.

Why are some sizes 8 to 10 weeks?

The made-to-order sizes are built after you order them, not pulled from a shelf. The Fairway 12 is the size most rooms take, so it is the one we keep on hand. The Fairway 8, 10, and 14 have their screens, housings, rollers, and motors sized to that specific width, and that build takes 8 to 10 weeks. We quote the real number rather than a hopeful one. Building to order is also why those sizes are final sale.

What happens after I place an order?

You get an order confirmation by email with the lead time for your size. Your system is then picked and packed, or goes into production if it is a made-to-order width. You receive tracking by email once it ships, and the freight carrier will typically reach out to arrange a delivery window. Questions at any point go to 817-458-8556.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Contact us immediately and we will do whatever is still possible. Before anything is packed or put into production, changes are usually easy. Once a made-to-order width has gone into production, it is being built to your size and cancellation gets harder. Either way, call or text 817-458-8556 rather than waiting, because time is the only thing that helps here.

Shipping and freight

Do you ship nationwide?

We ship free to the contiguous lower 48 states only. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, we do not ship to Canada, and we do not ship internationally. We are based in Aledo, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and the freight cost is included in the price you see, with no surcharge added at checkout. If your address is outside the lower 48, please do not place an order, because we will have to cancel and refund it.

What is freight delivery actually like?

Oversized freight is not a parcel drop. It arrives on a large truck, delivery is typically curbside, and the driver is not responsible for carrying it into your garage. Someone needs to be there to receive, inspect, and sign, and a second set of hands helps. The shipping page walks through the whole delivery day.

What do I do if it arrives damaged?

Inspect the packaging and note any visible damage with the carrier before you sign. This is the single most important thing a freight buyer can do. Write the specific damage on the delivery receipt, photograph it, then call or text us the same day at 817-458-8556. Damage noted before signing is our problem to solve. See returns.

Returns and warranty

What is the return policy?

The Fairway 12 may be returned within 30 days of delivery in unused, original condition and packaging, and there is no restocking fee. It is the only size we hold in stock. The Fairway 8, Fairway 10, Fairway 14, and the Impact Padding are built to your order and are final sale, so they cannot be returned because you changed your mind or because they do not fit. On a Fairway 12 return you choose whether to book and pay for the return freight yourself or have us book it and deduct the actual cost from your refund. Full detail is on the returns page.

What warranty do I get?

A 2-year limited warranty covering defects in the motor, drive components, and screens under normal residential use. The two years run from the purchase date, meaning the day you place the order rather than the day the system is delivered, so on the made-to-order sizes the coverage period begins 8 to 10 weeks before the crate arrives. Coverage is for the original purchaser only and is not transferable. It does not cover normal wear of the impact surface, misuse, improper mounting, or damage from dirty golf balls. We are factory direct, so a claim goes to the people who built the system, not a dealer. See the warranty page.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Contact us. There is no portal and no claim form to track down. Call or text 817-458-8556, email admin@summitvantagellc.com, or use the contact page, and have your order number, photos of the problem, a wider photo showing how it is mounted, and a short description of what happened. If it is covered, we repair or replace the part.

Who is The Home Fairway?

The Home Fairway is Summit Vantage LLC, based in Aledo, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is run by a father and son, Matt and Kade Olsen. Our names, our phone number, and our email are on every page of this site because we answer them. Text 817-458-8556 before you buy and see how fast a human replies.

Why are there no reviews yet?

Because we are new, and we are not going to buy fake ones. That is the honest answer. A store with a hundred five-star reviews and no working phone number is worth less than a store with none and a person who picks up. Judge us on the specifics on this site and on what happens when you call.

Will you still be here in two years?

That is the right question to ask any new company backing a 2-year warranty. We cannot hand you a track record we do not have. What we can point to is a registered Texas company in Aledo, two names, a real phone, factory direct pricing with no dealer margin to defend, and low overhead. Small companies answer the phone. Large ones default on warranties too.

Why does buying factory direct matter?

Factory direct means there is no dealer or distributor between you and the people who built the system. It shows up in two places: the price, because there is no reseller margin stacked on top, and support, because a warranty question goes straight to the people who specified the motor. When you call about your order, you are talking to Matt or Kade.
