If your ceiling is around 8 ft and you want the lowest cost way into a retractable setup, HomeCourse is the sensible choice. Where HomeCourse is the better buy
It costs less. $1,995 against $2,899 for our 12 ft is a real difference, and if the budget is the constraint then that is the answer.
It does not need an outlet. The battery is a genuine advantage. If the only place your screen can mount is nowhere near power, and running a circuit is not worth it to you, that solves a problem we do not solve. Ours needs a standard 110V outlet.
You can usually get it this week. It sits in stock at several retailers. Our Fairway 12 ships in 5 to 10 business days, and our 8, 10 and 14 ft sizes are made to order on an 8 to 10 week lead time. If you want to be hitting balls by the weekend, that matters.
It is a known quantity. It has been on the market for years and there are plenty of independent reviews and owner threads to read. We are newer. You should weigh that.
Where we are different
Height. HomeCourse Pro is an 8 ft tall screen and wants at least 8 ft of ceiling clearance. Ours go up to 11 ft. If you have a basement or a garage with real height, an 8 ft screen leaves the top of the room unprotected and can feel tight on a full swing. Most home simulators want a ceiling around 9 ft to swing freely, so if you have it, use it.
The sides are included, and they retract too. This is the difference we would point at first. HomeCourse Pro side nets are a separate purchase. With ours, two motorized 8 ft side screens come in the price and go up and down on the same remote as the rear screen. Not nets that stay put. Screens that disappear with everything else.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. The whole reason to buy a retractable screen is that the room goes back to being a room. If the sides stay up, it does not.
You pick the width. Four sizes, 8 through 14 ft, so you can match the room instead of working around a single size. A wider bay also lets right and left handed golfers play from the same setup without moving anything.
One remote, through walls. All three screens run off a single RF remote that works through a wall, so the control does not have to be line of sight.

Under about 8 ft 6 in, HomeCourse Pro is built for exactly that room and we would not try to talk you out of it.
At 9 ft or more, you are buying a screen that does not use the space you have, and you should at least price the alternative.
If you want the sides to retract as well as the back, price the HomeCourse side nets into the comparison before you decide which is cheaper. That is the honest way to compare the two, and depending on what those cost, the gap may be smaller than the headline prices suggest.
